In search of international talent, Singapore will offer in January 2023 the Overseas Network & Expertise (ONE) work permit. Offering more flexibility and freedom, it is not tied to a company and allows its holder to work for several companies, and to create his own. More info in our article!
The One permit is intended for foreign talents who meet one of these criteria:
- Having worked at least 1 year for an established Singaporean company, with a minimum salary of SGD$30,000 monthly;
- Having a job offer from an established Singaporean company, with a minimum salary of SGD$30,000 monthly;
- Holding recognized skills in art, culture, research, sports, science or technology, even if the minimum wage is not reached.
- A company is recognized as established in Singapore if it generates an annual revenue of at least US$200 million.
Valid for 5 years and renewable under conditions, the One permit authorizes its holder to work for several Singaporean companies simultaneously, and to create his own company: no need to apply for a new work permit in case of change of employer!
It also avoids the labour market testing stage (= search for local talent), and allows the spouse easier access to a work permit.
