Israel: the “Hi-Tech visa” facilitated

Launched in 2018, the “Hi-Tech visa” was created to meet the demand of Israeli tech companies wishing to recruit experts in this field.  After facilitating access to students last March and then to Ukrainian citizens in April, the government also relaxed the procedure for foreign talent at the end of July.

Tech companies registered with the Israeli government will now be able to apply for a Hi-Tech work permit with the authorities on behalf of the applicant. This will facilitate access to foreign citizens meeting the conditions and having a job offer from this company. In addition, this visa opens up to more nationalities, which was not the case until now. Issued up to one year, with the possibility of renewal up to 5 years, the Hi-Tech visa is obtained in about ten days. It also allows the spouse to reside and work in Israel.
